Skilled Nursing Services may be necessary due to an illness or injury. With the help of licensed health professionals such as physicians, registered nurses (RNs), physical, speech, and occupational therapists can help individuals get back on their feet. Skilled Nursing Services include: Wound Care, intravenous (IV) therapy, injections, catheter care, physical therapy, and monitoring of vital signs and equipment. In order to qualify for Skilled Nursing Services you will need the following:
- Physician’s Order
- 3-day qualifying hospital stay
- Medicare or private health insurance
Long-term Care services are for individuals who cannot reside in the community independently safely. Long-term care services include:
- Dressing
- Eating
- Walking
- Transferring (to or from bed to wheelchair)
- Incontinence Care
- Medication Management
